Wasabi Ginger Sauce
Dipping Sauces
Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients
- 1/2 ounce fresh ginger, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 small shallot, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- 3/4 cup mirin
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons dark molasses
- 1 1/2 tablespoons prepared wasabi paste
- 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon toasted Asian sesame oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons powdered ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
Blend
Put ginger, shallot, and garlic in blender; pulse 5 times, scrape sides, and pulse 5 more times.Blend the Sauce
Add remaining ingredients in order and blend 20 seconds.Rest Before Serving
Transfer to a resealable container and let stand 30 minutes before using. Refrigerate unused portions up to one week and stir before using. Serving / Recipe Note May be used as a dipping sauce, marinade, or salad dressing.
